The whole stretch from Pune-MRJ-UBL-SBC will be double and electrified. The pace is good, and can be notices along tracks. They likely plan to use old abandoned MG alignment for second track where it is easy to use as it was left in tact while Pune-MRJ conversion.
Has the electrification work started in mrj pune section ? AFAIK in Kop mrj section laying Ohe poles is almost over but dont know about the progress in mrj pune stretch.
My office is just beside of that line I daily pass on from there no electric poles are fixed and not a single sleeper laid some field is leveled at very small area where as no earth work done at crossing only one boundary wall was laid that also 1 year ago
Now electrification is nearly done but doubling work in progress
