Southern Railway announced that passenger specials would operate between Chennai Egmore and Chengalpattu–Guduvanchery–Chengalpattu on Sunday, but commuters remain skeptical due to the ongoing engineering works in Egmore yard. Passengers recounted struggles to reach their destinations due to overcrowded buses and increased travel time, with some reporting being forced to take multiple buses. Southern Railway ne kaha hai ki Sunday ko Chennai Egmore aur Chengalpattu–Guduvanchery–Chengalpattu ke beech passenger specials chalayenge, lekin logon ko doubt hai ki yeh kaafi hoga, kyunki Egmore yard mein engineering work chal raha hai. Logon ne bataaya ki unhe bahut zyada difficulties aayi buses mein, kyunki wo bahut crowded thi aur unhe bahut time laga apna destination tak pahunchne mein. Share autos ne bhi is situation ka fayda uthaya aur zyada paise charge kiye.
