No news abt it. Guess TT issue may be the reason coz Madurai peoples are opposing for route via TPJ so it is on hold but not sure abt the exact reason.
TPJ badly needs a day train to SBC
Maybe they should make it 16 Car if MDU pax feel less quota gets allotted for them

No less quota issue. We don't need it via TPJ and it is extra travel time for us and have to pay more. If needed they can give separate VB for both else operate this VB from TPJ itself, MDU doesn't need a VB like this with too early departure. Why we should pay extra for a circuitous route and if this VB gets inaugurated as such then it's a total waste for Madurai. Hope Railways will think and proceed. Let's see.

SBC-ERS Intercity will continue to run. Heard that LHB coaches have already been assigned for the same.
