Brother, as u said "timings should be arranged to cause less disturbance to others"... pls don't take me wrong, but what I feel is that as of now we just need to wait for the speed limits to be increased from.... say.... MAS till JTJ... and who knows, our VB can reach the destinations faster than before.... this is not only for VB, but also for Shatabdi, Brindavan, and all others trains covering this section.... be it the MAS CBE Shatabdi, or Kovai SF Express... so I think, maybe within few months... they would do the speed trial test any minute and once that's done, almost all trains using that section, those trains' avg speed might increase leading to reaching the destinations faster and earlier....

That is possible because not all ppl of either Chennai or Bangalore or Mysore could pay so much money and there's chance that full occupancy can be seen in DD or Brindavan or whichever trains run from SBC MAS SBC.... I'm not stating that VB is expensive.... but yeah... I hope u got my point....

Useful
For passengers who are not concerned with a bot of extra travel time and wants to spend lesser money, DD, Vrindavan are much better options. And to be honest the unanimous feedback from lot of people has been too much charged for food in Vande Bharat with very little options. In case of DD and Vrindavan at least you get tea which is made along with other better snack options. I case of VB it is powdered tea mix and samosas etc are loaded from SBC towards MAS and heated and given around 4:30pm-5pm.
