If fares are high travellers will not prefer private train in that route and look for IR train or prefer to fly if there is nearest airport.in shorter distances travellers will prefer to travel by own vehicles if distances upto 400km where they are good highways. High fares will be during festive days where heavy demand is one sided and it's called surge demand.
