Respecting the demand of tourists and residents of Matheran, and at the initiative of Shri Piyush Goyal, Hon’ble Minister of Railways and Coal, Govt. of India,...
I would request railway authrities to , if possible, kindly make this route 'DOUBLE LINE' instead of single line presently. if this route is made double line, frequency of train can be increased and more tourist will visit Matheran.
Rrauilways -with some provision in rail budget-must take steps to convert this exisitng track a Double line. Since narrow guage is there and distance between matheran and Neral- small- this project can be completed within one year.
