Re# 2340826-1
Though first 15 car suburban local train was introduced in WR as early as 2009.
Today only 3% of total services of WR (42 of the 1323) are 15 coaches.
Had WR given due priority to the requirement, atleast all the fast services could have been converted into 15 coach by now.
In CR, the % should be even lower!

Re# 2340826-2
on one side the WR says there is no scope to run new locals, on another, it is increasing the mail/exp trains during peak hours. During the last few years trains like bdts-cdgr, bdts-bhuj, bdts-patna etc. have been introduced which enter Mumbai suburban section at virar in morning peak hours i.e. between 7 am and 10 am. If these trains are removed from the peak hours. then easily 8 to 10 new services can be introduced in morning peak hours which would solve the problems of commuters on immediate basis.
In the evening peak hours also I have seen a couple of new trains have been introduced recently which unnecessary slow down the whole system and reduce the suburban capacity.
