* Consumer Protection Council should take more glaring and easy case of looting by IR in the name of Suvidha, PT, SpecialFare. Flexifare etc rather than preventing IR to speed up Rcok Fort from 53 to 55kmph to make it SF.
* As per court order, IR can charge SF charges for a train if avg speed is 55kmph or more.
* IR has right to set its own timetable, speed up or slow down any train as per its operational & other requirements. Even court doesn’t have any right to...
more... stop IR from speeding up a train.
* If the Consumer Protection Council really want to protect interests of passengers, it must fight tooth and nail against the extortionist Suvidha, PT, SpecialFare. Flexifare, etc which are charging upto 400% of naormal fare. 15-75 Rs hike of SF charge comparatively peanuts. * IR is not a private company, but run on public money, enjoys monopoly status, gets public funding to the tune of Rs. 10s of thousands of crores per annum, hence does not have moral right to adopt unethical/arm twisting practices followed by touts/hoarders/black marketeers & shrewd private companies. etc
