Rlys is not that much bothered about the cost. As it is duty of Central Govt to arrange for funds for Salary, Perks as well as pension, so it is basically a taxpayer's and IRly passenger's problem. Today 75% of the revenues are going into this head and OR has shot up to a dangerously high level of 110%. Not much is left for essential activities like fuel, new rakes, operation, maintenance, repay loans, depreciation fund etc. So more fare increase direct as well as indirect both are going to happen.
