From 0615 to 1130 its a dream for any foodie. About a dozen stuff to choose from. And post Erode, its just a procession of Biriyanis.
Carried a bunch of re 10 notes to make hay in the first few hrs. :)

You are right. I had heard it is one of the best pantry in this route [as far as food quality & variety is served]. Managed by Arenco Caterers who also manage few other trains i think. On its return journey, hot dosas served between DPJ & SBC
Hot Masala dosas were served here too! To list a few from the menu- Idly, Wada, Pongal, Lemon rice, Masala Dosa, Dal Wada, Cutlets, Bajjis, Tomato Soup, Cold Badam Milk were sold frequently.
Regretfully,Shatabdis have a fixed and boring routine: Breakfast, Soup,Lunch,Tea and Dinner.. No other stuff by vendors.Unlike Lalbagh(and Brindavan of yester years) which were foodies'' delight. :(
Yeah true, when I travelled in Mandovi express last year I paid 230 for my seat but spent almost same amount for pantry too and some pantry services deserves it.

Tuticorin express was running so late today, arrived at crlm outer at 06.30 am, at 6.45 it was allowed to enter crlm, waited for 12677 to arrive and depart from crlm.
Ground levelling work happening outside crlm station . But it needs lot more facilities so that more ppl can board and alight from here. Garib rath, cbe ltt also must stop here.
Though running late, doing great speeds. Trying to cover up the delay. Was halted for nearly 25 mins in erode.

That will be amazing. I remember my travel for ERS admin meet with Mr Murali sir in the coach near to the loco. You can feel the ride... Murli sir was explaining everything to me. It was an unforgettable journey with him.
