In south-india there is one SRR-NIL line another is SMET-TLGP line which passes through forest area and beautiful landscapes, I don't want this two lines to get destroyed in name of development, but already both the vintage lines are getting trimmed for Electrification 😞😞, it hurts to see trains moving without getting touch off the leaves of trees leaning towards track.
Not Entirely True There were Surveys for an 80km line To Honnavar during earlier exCm BSY Term(not the recent One) With KM's Length of Tunnels .it got Shunned After a Mining Ban by SC.

Must be longest stoppage for any M/E train in IR....
Person can alight at YPR, have bath and breakfast and come back to board the train again.............

Oh!! Got that... so swr has no other go rather to crawl it upto YPR. From YPR train has good schedule upto Dadar. Gets top priority too enroute
SWR is okay with the old chalukya timings, hence making it to halt for more than 2 hours. Actually issue might be with Tirunelveli side, as PDY DR timings are pretty fine.
one alternate way will be to divert via TPT route so that it can join JTJ byepass around same time of PDY YPR. Can start delayed/diverted via TSI to give more caterance to VPT TSI Section where around 10 towns will be benefitted. as TEN has more faster services than this one. E2E also not that much affected.
This happens mostly with slow mail express trains and passengers i have experienced this pathetic situation myself many Times in 11842 mostly it reaches birla nagar( gwalior)well before time but it stays there only for almost 1.5 to 2 hours and gets overtaken by literally every single train be it upsk, Kerala express etc and arrive late at gwl raat ke time me aankhe band hone lagti hai isska wait karte karte 🤣

You will get plenty of options enroute. Don't worry. I had tried breakfast at Arsikere Jn. It was awesome.
You will get Thatte Idli with spicy chutney at Arsikere Jn. Try it, it's really good.

Both options seem safe to me with 2 hrs and 3 hrs buffer.
I would suggest option 1 just to avoid an additional train and keep the energy alive to enjoy the great konkan in monsoons along with some awesome Ahuja catering.

Yeah my heart says go with 1st option but mind says what if he gets delayed and only option to catch Mandovi express is pulling chain at TNA 😁😁, in other hand what if I take 2nd option, but need to take connection train and wait at intermediate station.
i will suggest the latter.

Yes that's the plan I'm going to take 80%, but only thing which his hitting my head is, when I have direct train to same destination from my source station itself why should I change to other train at intermediate station and I had even planned to take SBC-JU exp till Pune on Monday enjoy shindwane ghats in broad light and reach Pune at 7pm, wait till 10-11pm and take any Mumbai bound train from Pune and reach CSTM at 3-4AM and wait for 3hrs and get the Mandovi train easily. But JU exp has reached WL-70 need to wait for tatkal
