This train was being rescheduled daily to leave Howrah and Barbil late daily since the last several days. Daily this train became more and more late and everyday it used to be rescheduled to leave Howrah more late than the previous day. Finally it became so late in reaching Howrah that it is finally cancelled today on 22/08/2024. Hoping that it may leave Howrah timely tomorrow. Railways has completely destroyed this train. This train has become a disgrace in the name of express train. Passenger trains are better than this train. I have permanently stopped travelling by this train. Soon, Ranchi - Barbil Express is going to be started, and then I shall always travel by that train.
Wow, it reached 12 hours late at HWH for the yesterday's version. Considering it's an ICE with only sitting accomodation, I wonder how many folks just cancelled their plans for this train. IR should instead add couple of platforms at Barbil and run an overnight train bound for HWH.
Number of platforms at Barbil needs to be increased. Now both Tatanagar - Barbil Passenger and Barbil - Puri Express stay overnight at Barbil. I cannot say how Barbil station manages this with only one platform. Now soon Ranchi - Barbil Express is going to be started. All other stations in this route from Barbil to Rajkharsawan, except Dangoaposi and Padapahar have 3 Platforms each. So number of platforms at Barbil needs to be increased.
This train is being made 6 - 12 hours late daily. The return train has become an overnight train due to late running. Are people still traveling in this train?

When Howrah - Pune Duronto Express, Howrah - Titlagarh Ispat Express are running ok in the same route without facing operational constraints, how come only this Howrah - Barbil Janshatabdi Express is facing operational constraints daily?
Same goes for Kandari exp , Tamralipta exp . Both are heavily late that's why People are going by bus to Digha instead of Train
Naturally occupancy will reduce to nearly zero. 6 to 12 hours late running is too much for daily Intercity train that too for Jan Shatabdi Express which charges much higher fare plus superfast charges. This train is being made to run so late as if time has no value for passengers. It is an extremely amusing fact that however late this train starts from source, ticket availability at all stations enroute closes at right time. What does railway expect? Passengers should book ticket before 5:50 am in morning and then wait for 7 hours till this train starts from Howrah at 1:00 pm (nowadays this train starts daily from Howrah after 1:00 pm). Same for all stations enroute for both up and down train. Passengers wanting to travel from Tatanagar to Howrah will have to book ticket before 4:05 pm and wait for 12 hours and catch this train around 4:00...

Since, it was cancelled yesterday, and many trains are still diverted, it is running much timely today. However, it was not needed to be cancelled yesterday. When, Tata - Gua passenger and Tata - Barbil passengers were not cancelled yesterday, means its route was not obstructed yesterday by the accident. So, it could run yesterday.
Accident took place between Rajkharsawan and Barabamboo. Since Barbil line deviates from Rajkharsawan, it means Rajkharsawan - Rourkela line was obstructed. Rajkharsawan - Dangoaposi line was not obstructed.
No Rajakharsawan-Dangoaposi railway line is not obstructed.Only howrah -mumbai line is obstructed
This train should be set ablaze. End of all problems. Permanent solution. And this may soon happen.
