There is talk about doubling the KR line and with such difficult terrain in so many stretches it will be a monumental task. Moreover I don't think any work is possible during these 4-5 months.
It's a tough terrain with tunnels, viaducts, etc.
But it's very much needed as the single line is highly congested and freight traffic has also grown in this section a lot in recent years.
Initially they should start with areas which are more on plain lands, doubling in small patches should be started first.

Doubling of KR is next to impossible bcoz
1. KR stake holders are govt of states and Central Govt so coming to consensus is a big daunting task

I don't think it's impossible rather yes it's very difficult. For this the main thing is that KRCL should be taken over by Indian Railways. Only then finance cannot be an issue. KRCL should only stick to constructions rather operations.
