Due to a power block in the Adra Division, several trains have been cancelled or rerouted on May 5th, 2024. The 18019/18020 Jhargram-Dhanbad-Jhargram MEMU and 13503/13504 Barddhaman-Hatia-Barddhaman Express are cancelled. On April 26th, RPF Koderma seized 1.5 kilograms of marijuana from the 12366 Janshatabdi Express at Koderma railway station. During a routine check of the coaches, a black backpack containing the marijuana was found unattended on platform number 4. The seized marijuana was handed over to GRP Koderma after documentation.

Separately, the 32nd Central Council meeting of the East Central Railway Employees Union was held in Patna. Discussions included issues concerning the sub-divisional hospital in Patratu, including the need for more beds, lady doctors, x-ray operators, lab technicians, essential medicines, and coolers in the mortuary and each ward. The meeting also raised concerns about employees working over 10 hours, deductions in mileage, poor condition of railway housing, inadequate roads, lack of clean drinking water, and the need for a park for children and a club for employees. The union decided to hold protests if these issues are not addressed by the railways.

Meeting mein employees se 10 hours se zyada kaam lene, mileage mein cut karne, railway housing ki kharab condition, kharab raaste, saaf peeyejal ki kami, aur bachchon ke liye park aur employees ke liye club ki jaroorat jaise issues bhi uthaye gaye. Union ne faisla kiya hai ki agar yeh issues railways dwara handle nahi kiye gaye to woh protest karenge.
