its ok, but what a need to start these trains from kanniyakumari? in future Indian railways must consider Virudhunagar as a terminal station. because every passing through trains to important cities from southern districts, our district people only getting Pooled Quota. thatswhy i am writing to ask for starting some train services from our Virudhunagar District. In recent southern railway madurai division official proposed Kudal nagar as a satellite terminal for madurai, if they think in servicing manner, they will consider as Virudhunagar Junction as a terminal station. This will help to reduce existing congestion in Madurai City. Who will take necessary actions and steps?

Madurai city already more congested, why again and again plan to setup new teminals in madurai city itself? leave some more towns and cities to develop independently like Kerala. Thatswhy IR must implement some major connectivity projects in adjacent cities. how nagercoil and kanniyakumari have a distance of less than 20km got a terminal status? and one more thing first of all Madurai and Virudhunagar is not nearby places, it almost situated a distance of 46 km in a north-south direction. And Virudhunagar is a most industrialised district in entire southern Tamilnadu, Virudhunagar is an important business hub, which is situated in a centre place of that district and its surrounded by industrial cities and towns like Sivakasi, Rajapalayam, Srivillipthur, Aruppukottai, Sattur and Ramco Nagar in all the Four Directions. Still Indian railways keeping old station code names for all the stations, actually these station codes were generated in british period. for example Madras was renamed as Chennai, but still IR using MAS and MS codes for Chennai station, The same Viruthupatty was renamed as Virudhunagar by Government, but still using VPT as a station code. The same Tuticorin , now calling as thoothukkudi but the station code still TN. When will Indian Railway wake up from their long sleep and change station codes? This is important thing, because is not a secret code and it is not only using by railway officials, it is mainly use by common public people to use for Reservation in IRCTC web site. Kindly take necessary steps to change codes as soon as possible

Virudhunagar people is deserving and getting seats to chennai. because railway official removed GEN quota for virudhunagar to reserve in all trains those are originating from southern districts and moved to PQ, except Guruvayur Express . Is railway only service for Tirunelveli, tuticourin and Kanyakumari districts? This is a unfavourable action and it is a major discrimination activity. How to inform this activity to southern railway higher officials.
Virudhupatti was already changed into a name of Virudhunagar on 6th April 1923 by municipal council.In all govt. sector records showing the name Virudhunagar only, But still a station code existing by VPT. this code always making a confuse for new passengers when booking tickets in online. When will change the station code?
