This train was Proposed as a Daytime Intercity With Routing via Panvel instead of Kalyan, which was Changed later, due to Dont Know What reasons.
Western Railway would be the Country's first Zone, where the Headquarter and the Associated Division uses 1990-2005 Made Coaches for their trains. And all their New 2011-2014 are Distributed to other Divisions/Coaching Depots like Indore, Ahmedabad, Rajkot etc.
Carefully Observe once. Prestigious trains and Even new trains are made to Run with Old Coaches in Mumbai Like Golden Temple Mail, Avadh, Paschim, Jaipur SF, Avantika etc.

Passengers......Premium are Supposed to have only 5 Stoppages Which are Fulfilled, then why should it have more Stoppages Enroute?

Mumbai-Delhi is Exclusively meant for End to End Passengers. Already Mumbai Rajdhani and August Kranti are Conpensated for Passengers of Gujarat, but this makes all Limit.

Yesvantpur Katra also have only 5 Commercial Stoppages Enroute
Bellary, Secunderabad, Nagpur, Jhansi, New Delhi

Bandra-Amritsar Premium is given Stoppage at Surat as per TAAG.
And Needless to say, Borivali Stands of More Importance than Surat, especially for trains Coming From BDTS.
Borivali station alone Can give enough response to a train with Surat and Vadodara Combined.
