Just happened to see this post ! TN Express never touched Kazipet at any point of time if I refer thru all the TTs from its inception in year 1976

GT started skipping Kazipet from April 1 1987 TN and KK right from start skipped Kazipet, Kerala for about a brief period was touching Kazipet in late 80s, but TN never touched Kazipet. I am 100% sure since TN is one of my favorite trains.
May be when there issues TN might have touched, but as per official TTs from 1976 till 2016 which I have for twice in an year till 1990, TN never touched Kazipet

I had travelled TN in 1978 and 1979, do you want me to share the Timetable pages of any years? Officially it never touched, may be due to disruptions or other issues. Kazipet bypass came in 1975 end and TN was introduced in 1Auguet 976 and KK in 1977 Jan which also skipped

Noticed that from 1986, 25/26 Kakatiya Express became a Fast passenger with numbers 325/326. Think it is even continuing as a passenger train ending with numbers 25/26. RIght?

Few corrections.
KK Exp from Trivandrum Central was inaugurated on Jan 10 1977( Monday) an Bangalore portion on 13 Jan 1977.
From 1987, there were 3 Karnataka Exp 905/906 weekly 127/18 bi weekly...

You are right and have cross checked, TN always skipped Kazipet, TN in 1987-1988 time frame used to have electric locos till BZA and from there diesel loco till NGP. GT started skipping KZJ from April 1987 with a stop at Warangal. If understand correctly Kazipet bypass came in early 1975. Not sure whether Cochin JJ or TN was the first train to run thru bypass.

131/132 JJ Express was renamed as Mangala Express from April 1986 and in 1987 October was merged with Kerala express which became daily. In 1993 both were split as separate trains and Mangala ran till Cochin/ERS.

When was the link of old 81/82 Bombay Kanyakumari jayanti janata express to Mangalore getting stopped ?? I think that link service from palghat to Mangalore run as 83/84 ... I don't have any idea when it stopped .
