MORE TRAINS TO BE DIVERTED VIA TEL-GNT/NGNT-BZA ROUTE:
The commissioning of double line between TEL-GNT , ushered in the path to divert more NORTH-SOUTH bound trains via NGNT/GNT,there by providing much awaited main line connectivity to up coming Capital Region.
Initially some of the popular day time express/passener trains can be diverted in this route.. like PINAKINI Express, BZA-GDR passenger.COA-TPTY passenger etc.. Basing on the patronage and other demands from various sectors some more trains can be diverted via TEL-NGNT-MGA-BZA route.

NGNT (NEW GUNTUR) Station should be upgraded with DOUBLE LINE connectivity .
As per the priority target set by Rly Authorities GNT- TEL line doubling to be by February 2019 to facilitate diversion of couple of daily trains via NGNT.
But the present single line connectivity of NGNT Station between Reddipalem Cabin (on GNT -BZA double line ) and ,Manipuram Cabin (on GNT-TEL double line) is NOT PLANNED FOR DOUBLING.

It is surprising how a single line connect two two DOUBLE TRACKS..
This one km length track between Reddipalem Cabin &Manipuram Cabin should be DOUBLED and accordingly NGNT STATION should be upgraded with .

GNT should have a direct train(Day journey) towards NLR. Passengers in this area suffering a lot since the introduction rail services before independence( before 1947) as they are deprived of this small facility of direct day time train from GNT towards NLR/GDR.
Lot of developments in and around GUNTUR like BG conversation of all meter gauge lines,formation of GUNTUR DIVISION etc. But till date no direct train between GNT...GDR(day journey). I didn't this is an uphill task for Railway Authorities

Guntur is one of the main junction in SCR also Divisional HQ of GUNTUR DVN and Capital District. of Andhra Pradesh.
As on today this junction do not have a day journey connectivity(Direct train from GNT)towards Ongole/Nellore and beyond. There is not even a single passenger train during day time (0500 hrs - 1700 hrs) to cater the earnest need of passengers in and around Guntur . For short journey between Guntur..OGL ,GNT..NLR and enroute stations passengers are at mercy of Road journey only.

KEEPING in view the major Daily traffic flow in this route,Railway Authorities will realize the earnest need of introducing a direct passenger train(Express/Pass) between GNT..NLR/TPTY during day time.

Restoration of 10 km lengthabondened BG line between Vejandla(in GNT..TEL SECTION). and Tsundur(TEL-BPP section) is very much need of the day as it opens the doors for putting GNT/NGNT station on the main line. More express trains can be diverted on this route via NGNT/GNT stations reducing traffic congestion on TEL junction for Goods trains also.
Keeping in view the growing importance of Guntur City(Capital District of Andra Pradesh) RESTORATION of this small stretch will be a vital in GNT Division of SCR.

VEJANDLA- Tsundur line was there till 1977 seeing as bypass line for TEL for trains heading towards GDR.During that period only one train is Circles Express run in this route. Goods Traffic also very limited and restricted to Goods trains originating from GNT.
Nowadays total scenario changed and more express trains and goods trains are heading towards GDR junction Daily.. In future more traffic anticipated..

GNT - TEL doubling noway linked with this chord line between VEJANDLA and TSUNDUR(double line Electrified). This line mainly serving as chord line for bypassing TEL junction for traffic in GNT--GDR section.
Doubling of GNT- TEL will remove the hurdles in running CIRCULAR TRAINS between GNT-TEL- BZA.

It is not Circles Express ,it is CIRCAR Express running between COA(Kakinada Port) and Madras Beach via TEL-GNT-BZA-GDV-BVRT.
Now this train runs between COA-MS(Chennai Egmore) in the same route via TEL-NGNT-BZA-GDV_BVRT.
Till 1977 CIRCAR Express was the only train running in GNT--GDR section.

GNT-TEL section.
. Later only to provide a short route for CIRCAR Express, this chord line between VEJANDLA..TSUNDUR was constructed bypassing TEL junction.
During 1976 due to political pressure from then MP of TENALI,this CIRCAR Express was rerouted to run via previous route. Because of this, this chord line between VEJANDLA and TSundur was used to run only Goods trains now and then. Later on because of no traffic this chord line was abondened due to maintenance constraints.
But now the total scenario changed . Now lot of traffic in GNT- GDR section section and increasing in Geometric Progression.
Hence the restoration of this small link(10km) between VEJANDLA- TSUNDUR is very .ugh need of the day

Initially it used to run via BZA-GNT-TEL only. Later on after completion of NDKD-Bibinagar route+BG conversion of GNT-MCLA route, HYB-MAS express was diverted via GNT and CIRCAR Express was routed to run through BZA- TEL direct. And again recently to was routed back to run through NGNT-TEL section
