The most senseless and humorous detour route ever operationalised by WR in its history. WR should have changed terminal to Gandhinagar with halt at Chandlodiya B instead of Gandhigram. The previous train (before change in terminal to GG) from Okha which used to arrive ADI at 8:35 am now arrives at 11:50 am making it useless for office goers who could have gone to Dwarka over the weekend and return back Monday morning in Ahmedabad.

Very good decision. Will facilitate pilgrimage travel to Dwarka from Ahmedabad. Currently there is no dedicated train originating from Ahmedabad to Dwarka. Regarding timings, basis expected public demand, after few months departure from Okha will be postponed by 2 hours and departure from Ahmedabad will be preponed by 2 hours.

There are 2 separate decisions. One of extension and another of timings. I said that decision of extension is really good for Dwarka pilgrims. Regarding timing I clearly said it has to be postponed by 2 hr from Okha and preponed from Ahmedabad.

Both ADI BCT VB and Tejas will run with decent/full occupancy (obviously except lean season like rainy seasons days with no festivals days) because of 40 min gap in their departure from ADI. Many passengers who do not mind reaching bit late at their destinations ( Surat/Vapi/Mumbai) will rather prefer leaving their homes 40 min later in the early morning to catch Tejas as they want to minimise disturbance to their sleep and morning routine by not opting for VB which departs 40 min early than Tejas.
Rajkot is 3 to 3.5 h run. So RJT extension of Tejas may be difficult. How about extension to Mehsana via Gandhinagar? North Guj’s first originating premium train and first dedicated originating train for Mumbai.

Ok. But will Railways provide VB like speed to Tejas? If yes, then RJT extension of VB will be feasible.
