Here is the report on the earnings, average boarding and deboarding, and occupancy of 22349 Patna Ranchi Vande Bharat (VB). It is a slap on the face of people who, claimed this would be the biggest failure among VB trains at the time of inaugration.

At Hazaribagh Town (HZBN), an average of 80 passengers deboard and 90-100 passengers board the train daily, with the numbers reaching up to 150 during peak season.

It shouldn’t be surprising. Vande Bharat is the only premium train running between Patna and Gaya, so people who can afford are travelling in it. I traveled yesterday from Patna to Gaya in Patna-Tata Nagar Vande Bharat and a lot of passengers deboarded at Gaya. The whole journey was a breeze with no halt in between and I reached Gaya in 1:15 hours flat.

Travel time should have been 5 hours. What’s the point of a Vande Bharat when travel time is same as a Rajdhani? Varanasi Delhi VB’s average speed is 95 Km/hr, here it’s only 81 Km/hr.
