It's better Amritha extesnion to RMM not happen as it is not all convenient for any people. Anyways TVC to KTYM people won't use Amritha for RMM as they have shorter route via TEN-MDU. Also ERS-TCR-PGT people also not going to use Amritha to RMM as the timing is very much inconvenient for the people form these area.As 3rd pitline at ERMCD is getting ready,let SR announce a tri weekly ERS-RMM via convenient night departure at ERS and RMM end and morning arrival at ERS and RMM end.

This speed up they could have done before also.Much before lock down 22633 TVC-NZM was covering TVC-NZM in just 48 hours.This train some times reach before time also at NZM end.That too with ICF coaches.22633 also cover BSR to NZM in 18 hours 40 min in its regular run.I'm not sure how NZM timing for 22653/4 (06083/4)will be maintained during Monsoon TT as it has just 6+ hours TAT at NZM end.Eagerly waiting for the TT of 22655/6.Hope it won't get short terminated at ERS (There was such a proposal at IRTTM 2020)

TVC division always think about slow down time tables just to show the punctuality.The above mentioned 20 min speed up has come by cutting down the slack of Neyyatinkara and Kulithurai. Time given between SRR and TCR is too much.That much slack is not even needed though it is handover of PGT division to TVC.Even in this ZBTT, they have not addressed the issue of 3 night trains departing from TVC to ERS-TCR side with in a gap of just 15 min through KTYM. They should have allowed KCVL-NIL to depart at 10-10:30 PM from TVC.

They rectified the mistakes in the timings in CBE area.1 hour 22 min Slack between BNC and SBC is horrible.Hope they will rectify that as well.Ideally it needs 10:45 PM departure from CBE ahead of Cheran as it has BT arrival of 5-10 min at CBE even in the regular run.

speed up has nothing to do with the recent up-gradation of tracks between JTJ and KJM.It was running with a poor TT for decades.They just cut down the slack between TPT and KJM which they should have done much ago.Even 3 years ago, I have noticed Island reaching KPN by 3:35-3:40 am when HWH train gets late.Otherwise it will wait for HWH-YPR to overtake before KPN (In the case of early arrival),Now HWH-YPR timings got updated and TPTY-CMNR got updated.Ideally in the next iteration, they should change the timings from OTP on wards and allow this train to pass CBE before Cheran express by 10:35 PM , such that it should reach SBC by 6:00 am to 6:15 am with a slack of 30 min between BNC and SBC. This is very much possible

SR and SWR should end increasing the running time of KCVL-MYS-KCVL step by step to please bus lobby.Instead, they should convert this to a super fast train .If parking at MYS end is a problem, once MYS-CMNR electrification gets over (or else just a loco change at MYS end until it gets completed which is a few months away), they can push it to AP (3rd PF available) or to CMNR.
Once they convert it to a SF, MYS-KCVL is possible with just 17.5 hours.Ideal timings would be MYS 3:00 PM SBC 5:45 PM KCVL 8:30 AM and in return KCVL 5:00 PM SBC 8:00 AM MYS 10:30 AM. As of now, there are no hurdles to convert...
