SWR should speed up SBC-MAQ trains as well (except in Ghat area).Also they should run 06585 as SBC-MAO train.

In South India, most congested route in terms of number of services (non suburban area) in a week is ERS-SRR section.It has more trains than BZA - GDR and KPD-JTJ/SA in a week.. SR has no interest to upgrade ERS-SRR even after Keralites are demanding this for a long time.Not even automatic signalling in this route. MPS of this route remains at 90 KM/Hr for a long time.

Sabari should skip SRR just like how SR removed SRR STOP for TVC-GKP/INDB/KORBA/BJN Group trains and ALLP-DHN trains from last year onwards. Sabari can be handed over to TVC division and convert it to a SF such that 3 hr TAT can be given at SC end.SR also should think about a daily service with a morning arrival at SC and evening departure from SC (TT similar to SC-KCVL Weekly 9PM departure) through the shortest distance path where Kongu express was going through HSRA or even through KJM also would do.This is a long pending demand of KL people.As usual SR ignores these demands.

SRR can be easily skipped with a stop at WKI.They have very good road connectivity either from OTP or WKI. Also for north kerala people also have a bi weekly KCG connectivity.There are not much constraints for doing so.

I'm saying , for the malabar people, they can get down at OTP or WKI where they have very good connectivity through road.Both are less than 15 KM distance via road and have excellent bus connectivity Suppose if they want further train connectivity, they can get down at either OTP or WKI or TCR. This LR is unnecessary.

Rather than splitting decades old Sabari train, they can look for making KCG-MAQ biweekly to tri weekly or to daily in the same route of Sabari or 3 days in the Sabari route and 4 days via HSRA-GY-KCG route

I know very well about OTP, SRR, CLT and WKI stations and have used these stations couple of times.Just for a few people's convenience,45 minutes cannot be wasted for the majority of the people.I hope you would have seen the speed up of ALLP-DHN,TVC-INDB,GKP,KORBA,BJN group trains in the new time table.Despite being a bigger station, SRR is not even a NSG2 grade station. I also agree when you travel with luggage and family members, it's difficult to board a train even from the home town station.

It;s not just 20 min, 45 minutes will be saved and form WKI or OTP, they have very good connectivity where SRR is just 20-30 minutes journey.
Regarding the purpose of railways, the same railway forcing people to go to bigger stations via road for 50-60 KMs, by not providing adequate connectivity from their small town stations.There also, the purpose of railway fails.
