Not the cleanest of trains, even in AC compartments. Food is available until train reaches Igatpuri (6:45pm, approximately). Even the dinner that you order from the catering staff will be served at Igatpuri, beyond which on-train catering is virtually none. Better to order online, or carry your own food. Breakfast is available some time after Vidisha.

From 12/07/2023 onwards, 12449 Goa Sampark Kranti Express (MAO to CDG) will have remote location quotas at Ratnagiri, Surat, Kota and New Delhi.

I gathered this data manually from IRCTC website. Hence, it will be appreciated if somebody can confirm this.

Travelled in this train in AC 2 Tier (2A) from Thane to Kanpur Central on September 18, 2022.

The coach position for this train has been incorrectly displayed on this site, as well as on Where Is My Train. In my personal experience, the coach positioning for Sitapur bound 12107 was as follows -

Waitlisted passengers have a good chance of getting confirmed ticket in this train (at least for AC coaches). Plenty of tickets were available in current booking for 2A and 3A when I boarded, and still many passengers get down at Bhopal.

Although this train has been extended to Sitapur Jn, almost all station announcement systems still refer to this train as Lucknow Express. I mentioned this just in case any passenger gets confused on platform.

Travelled in this train in AC 2 Tier (2A) from Ratnagiri to Panvel on September 17, 2022.

In my case, even though advance booking had a waitlist, and tatkal quota being used up, plenty of seats were available in current booking for 2A and 3A, when the chart was prepared at Mangaluru. Experienced ticket bookers might want to take a risk with this train, should the opportunity be given.

Also bedding, linen and blankets have not been started for this train yet. Future travellers would be well advised to make their own arrangements regarding the same.

Although the train encounters plenty of crossings in Konkan Railway, additional time has also been provided for it in the schedule. Hence delays and cover up will be a common theme for this train. In my case, train departed from Madgaon on time, reached Ratnagiri 45 minutes late, then 90 minutes late at Chiplun, and finally covering some ground to reach Panvel 30 minutes late.

Very likely you'll obtain 2A tickets in tatkal, provided you're ready at 10am and are well practiced in tatkal booking. 2A and 3A tickets are usually available in current booking from Mumbai up to Habibganj (now Rani Kamlapati). Extending your ticket till Bhopal Junction overlaps your journey with those boarding at Habibganj, hence may show lesser tickets than actually available in current booking.

Three hours are given to cover the 110km section from Orai to Kanpur, which is about an hour more than necessary. Hence this train almost always reaches Kanpur before...
