that pdf didn't have TN or thirukural and Dakshin i think. There was a news article stating WCR plans to run all 70 trains with LHB coaches at 130, now we know the 68 trains, but are the 2 - TN and Thirukral ?

the ot by all trains can be avoided if TN stays ahead all along, the 530 slot at ndls can be given to TN, dep at MAS can be advanced to 2100 Hrs that way both ways its 2100 Hrs and 530 arr.

the simple logic if at all is..let the longer distance train stay ahead of a terminating train at a particular station, to somehow lessen the cluttering and quick clearence of the ongoing train, say Durg-UDH express or the Kalka SF, you think this will change even if TN runs 130 ? unless its scheduled for an early arrival at NDLS ?

i suggest TN ka rake GT to de do, atleast usko thoda speed up karo..TN was fine with its ICF rake.

for SR the real focus is urban TN, the NDLS route is not a big concern for them as it will anyways see patronage, lets say if they decide to sunset the duronto the focus will again fall on TN and it hardly matters if TN is slowed down by 35 mins, lets assume RAJ is still mostly for end to end passengers here. Imagine the wastage/nonsense of running to ultra SF trains like RAJ and DUronto back to back, but then it makes sense to IR.

i don't think SR has any say here, its all coming from RB, and only good thing they did was not add additional stops to TN, keep an eye on any private train to NDLS and see its timings..

the 02649/50 will now an avg of 81 Km with ICF coaches between NZM and BPL faster than the sampoorna kranti with LHB.

not just higher MPS but enough slack, MPS is always fixed for a section +/- the TRS, but slack is different for trains based on the distance and OTs , so we see TN arriving 515-530 am at MAS as it didn't use its slack but RT at 630 even after being late as it used the slack.

i think its better to take all this with an extra pinch of salt and hope for good ahead. Have you wondered what magic revenue MAS Raj/Duronto can generate if say it departs MAS at 11:00 PM and reaches NDLS at 500 AM ? and vice versa so GT gets pushed to TN's time and TN to say 900 AM at NDLS and MAS ??
