While alighting from Mail/Express train, if you plan to take train to your destination from nearest station Tilaknagar, then no need to go to Tilaknagar station's ticket counter, as you can well buy your suburban tickets from LTT unreserved ticket counters near platform no : 01 (as usually ticket queue is very long at Tilaknagar)...

How do I book general ticket from ltt to Mangalore for train number 22113 ?and is it compulsory to purchase the tickets from the station from which h u board or any other railway station?

This tip is exclusively for 22113 and not 22114 that too for the trip that reaches Kerala on Sundays.
The train will be jam packed in all general compartments though it has plenty with people traveling to KTYM TRVL QLN and TVC after the week end from Malabar area. Don't think it would be empty like in most weekly SFs with many generals with a very few stop.
