WAP-5 can't handle gradients, AFAIK, which was one of the reasons why they were restricted to only BRC & GZB for a long time.
But then 22415/6 was often spotted with WAP-5 couple of times, but don't know whether it had bankers at that time or not, possibly because 22415/6 was lighter than 20805/6 in terms of CC & hence load.
There would be banker attachment & detachments for 20805/6, I guess.

rambo625~ 45 blog postsIf extension to KRNT is difficult, can extension to Gulbarga (KLBG) or Solapur (SUR) be considered? The Turn-around time will not be difficult because there's more than 18 hours between KCG arrival & departure, and PM is done by VSKP anyway.
Can be a good ON connection between Coastal AP & the Kalyana-Karnataka regions. And acts like an ICE between Hyderabad city & Wadi/Gulbarga/Solapur
The concern will be congestion between SUR-WADI & whether CR will agree for a slot, though.

** Need help plz. Long Journey - Travelling with Mother (Senior Citizen) - Ticket looks like it will remain in RAC **

Best will be to travel till MAS and then travel to SBC. 02841 has current available tickets in 2A right now from HWH to MAS. Book them, and plan MAS-SBC leg accordingly. This stretch won't be too difficult as there are good number of trains & buses plying from MAS to SBC.
Even 22807/SRC-MAS AC Exp has Tatkal available for 3A right now. This will be more cheaper & reliable than 02841.
