Boarded lalbagh express from MAS at 15:35hrs which departed ontime and reached BNC 10 mins before time but later was made to wait at SBC Outer and finally reached SBC at 21:45hrs on pf #5. I moved to pf #8 where SBC-GIMB Exp was ready to depart at 21:50hrs and train’s departure was delayed due to arrival of UBL-SBC JS, departed at 22:10hrs and reached YPR at 22:32hrs and my dream duronto was already placed on pf #6. Hence directly moved to pf#6 and checked coaches and chart and found YPR –DEE Duronto was not as clean as Namma Rajdhani. YPR-DEE Duronto departed from YPR bang on time with offlink ED Alco (not sure wat hppnd to our KJM Alco/EMD). It was great treat to see so many overtakes between SBC-SC. As I was most of the time with train Guard, pax thought I work for IR hehehe.
Later there was a South Indian girl travelling for the first time to Delhi who turned to be good friend of mine and at end of the day I turned her as RF….!!! Coming back to journey – food was not that good, few passengers in my coach were very angry and started calling catering manager (SCR-Division)-funniest thing was they were ordering to serve the dish of their wish. This didn’t stop next day too when breakfast was served –yes this time passengers told catering service manager they would stop the train if same kind of food is served for lunch and dinner. Lunch was served at around 14:00hrs (train was running late by 45 mins)-this time food quality was improved a lot but still those passengers were still not happy and started fighting with onboard catering officials . Now it was time for dinner and it was served @ 20:15hrs though dinner was bad compared with lunch served – those passenger were super happy- Not sure what kind of quality those passengers were looking for.!!!!!!!!!!!
Train had a technical halt at HBJ for 12 mins on pf #1. And started blasting as it crossed HBJ loop line; it skipped BPL not taking main line or pf #2 but pf #1. Once it crossed I went to sleep for some time and got up it was 4:20hrs next day and found train blasting like bullet-soon crossed AGC at 4:40hrs and reached OKA outer at 6:20hrs and from OKA-DEE it took 2 more hours – Finally reached DEE at 8:35hrs.
Can we call YPR-DEE Duronto king of shocks?
1) NOL--->YPR-SC (ED Alco) , SC-DEE(RPM WAP7) –same day SC-PNBE SF got LGD WAP7
2) Though train belongs to SWR has catering from SCR and onboard staff from NR
3) Skipped BPL taking pf #1-rarest thing that could ever happen.
4) Skipped both NZM and NDLS
5) Took more than 2 hrs to reach DEE from OKA
6) No South Indian BF though belongs to SWR
