when a train has GNWL from starting stn to a set of intermediate and end station then for ex : if an intermediate stn is around 300 km and the quota is GNWL while the destination is around 3000 km and is also GNWL ..so can the GNWL for intermediate stn confirm and for the final destination doesnt confirm even if the GNWL for intermedite stn is far more than that of the final destination ..???
.
or does GNWL gets confirmed sequentially ?

Guess, i could get your question now.
Confirmation process is usually sequential when speaking in terms of individual journey legs but when we speak of multiple journey legs having same quota, the concept of #berthmultiplexing and forwarding of berth comes in.

thanks for the clarification ...does #berthmultiplexing occur for short to very short distance in a end to end long distance train ..coz i just checked the pnrs which confirmed via this criteria the distance of those PNR are very less compared to the whole journey ..( just the situation what i mentioned ) ..

Some explanation has been provided by Mr. Vinay Kumar in reply #3, To add further the same berth gets utilised twice/thrice during the journey for which there's a famous term #berthmultiplexing used in our PNR Forum,
Now #berthmultiplexing brings in more revenue as compared to one single 3000 km journey
Pls check fare of any 3000 km journey and compare that with 4-5 journey's of around 400-500 kms...

The concept is not at all distance specific or quota specific. There is one full blog explanation given by me in this regard. You would need to go through it to understand what exactly happens.
Unless you start from the scratch, it would be difficult for myself to jump all the steps to make you understand. :-)

These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake. These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
