Yesterday, I had travelled in Garib Rath from Secunderabad to Visakhapatnam with RAC 1 as status, I could not get proper confirmation of berth until 1230 am after boarding train at 815 pm and incidentally, I do not know, how 3 persons were allotted same RAC 1 for the same berth in the same coach., how the railways can think that 3 persons can travel on 1 berth? If passengers of berth 2 and 3 wish to sleep, it is difficult to understand how 3 persons can seat in that limited space and height and travel the whole night. I think railways also benefit that 3 persons pay full fare to travel on 1 berth the whole night?? HOpe something can be done on this.

each of us settled down after 1230 am , though proper communication was not forth coming from TTE on our berth status.
I feel the charts of the train has to be released much in advance say about at least 6 hours in advance, as 1st list, so the traveller in question at least has time to book another ticket in current booking by different train., the chart was almost released just 3 hours before departure, giving very little scope to make other travel arrangements.
