WDP-3A is actually named as "Toaster" by RF's.
Technically, the cab gets heated up during high speed run n sometimes during idling which causes problem to the crew. there is no proper ventilation system to exhaust the heat waves. due to this, its known as Toaster.
In other ways, this was the major back drop for the DLW to stop producing WDP-2/3A's later, though dual cab locos were very good.
