Grievance Description : General Manager , Eastern Railway. Sir, I would like to draw your attention towards the poor performance by train number 12385/86 Howrah-Dhanbad Double Decker Express. This train was introduced with huge expectations but the train is not getting expected patronage which is the talk of every passenger traveling in this train. I request you to think about extending this train upto Bokaro Steel City to improve the patronage of this train. A Shatabdi Express was introduced between Bokaro and Howrah a decade ago which was extended upto Ranchi later. Bokaro is having poor connectivity with Kolkata. Only one trai-weekly Intercity Express is available and Shatabdi for day travelers. The city boats a huge Bengali and business class population who travel to Kolkata. Therefore, extending this train will not only enhance the patronage but will also gives Bokaro , a good connectivity to Kolkata.
