Reasons for people in Rayalaseema preferring Bus to Train apart from those in GTL-RU route.
4 districts, 5 major cities. ATP, KRNT, HX, CTO, TPTY
Connectivity Issue:
1. ATP - HX (Road 165 kms, Rail, 212 kms) ( No Direct train) If I travel by bus, I reach in 3.5 hrs. If I Travel by train, I have to make a transfer at

GY. The fastest chain is 4.40 hrs. So prefer Bus.
2. ATP - CTO (No Direct Train) If I travel by train I take 7 hrs. If I have to travel by train, I have to make a transfer at PAK. Connects only by a passenger train in the day time. Can't do it... So prefer Bus.
3. ATP - KRNT (No daytime train) Have to make a transfer at GTL that too by Passenger. So prefer Bus.
4. KRNT - HX (Road: 200 kms, Rail: 265 kms) No daytime direct train apart from Tri weekly AP SK which takes 5 hrs) So prefer Bus.
5. HX - CTO (No daytime train) Connect directly by Venakatadri at midnight. Else have to transfer at TPTY.
6. KRNT - CTO (Same as point 5)
7. KRNT - TPTY (Same as Point 4)
8. HX - TPTY (Ample Connections in daytime until RU)
9. ATP -TPTY (No day time Express train) Have to transfer at GY So prefer Bus. Now the night time passenger is a super hit.
Anantapur's Major towns ATP and HUP:
ATP - RDG (No Direct Train) Transfer at GTL. By road its only 90 kms.
ATP - TX (No Direct Train) Transfer at GY. By road only 53 kms.
Kalyandurg (No RS). Proposed in budgets. Assembly Constituency
Madakasira (No RS). Not Proposed. Assembly Constituency of the Minister Raghu Veera Reddy
ATP - KRY(Only one passenger train in the day time)
Singanamala (No RS) Not Proposed. Not needed too. Assembly Constituency of Minister & VIP Shailajanath
HUP - RDG (Same as ATP RDG
HUP - KRY (No direct train)
ATP - SSPN is less connected by trains than it shall be
SSPN is not directly Connected directly by KRY, RDG, TU.

I can understand your need and ATP being my grandmama's place its like a second home. But you have to understand that in whole of ralayaseema only TPTY & SSPN has pit lines for maintenance of rake. MG pit lines which were there at GTL have been removed. SO it is practically not feasible to run trains between other stations. Also the pit at TPTY is over saturated with so many trains having their primary maintenance there. SWR is not keen on maintaining rake at SSPN as it has to mobilize staff which it is already short off. YPR/SBC being only 100 kms from HUP is the most appropriate place to start and maintain the rake. SO i suggested a ICE between SBC/YPR-KCG/SC. Since ATP-HX is not connected directly it will not have a direct intercity. Again due to staff shortage SCR is not introducing many trains in DMM-PAK section. These...

sections are ruled by passangers and not many people take express trains. pass are always packed when compared to M/E or SF.

These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake. These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
