Detailed info on DELHI METRO
-------------------------------------------------- ---------
Reached Delhi/Gurgaon on jan 5th 2013 for my job. Everday used to wait to board Metro and finally I got chance to board on Sunday(next week), I boarded yellow line metro from sikandarpur to New delhi to visit NDLS Railway station n the time I got was very late so decided that next week I
...
shd leave as early as possible so left in the morning around 8:30am went back to huda city center metro station to get seat and took same metro to reach its final stop Jahangir puri, wch took almost 1:45mins but I could find just one IR crossing on its way , next week I took blue line metro n this time I was very very happy as I was able to find more than 3 IR Crossings(Pragati maidan/YB/ANVT/Kirti nagar). Similarly I did RF in all metro’s(Yellow/blue/red/green/violet lines) almost every week.
So here is my complete details and feedback about DMRC.
1) Yellow line:- Starts at Huda city center(GGN) passes Sikandarpur metro(IT Hub), Qutub minar, Patel chowk( Metro museum),Rajiv chowk, NDLS,Chandni chowk(DLI),Adarsh Nagar n reaches Jahanagir puri.
This line has more no. of stops underground and very few elevated(all GGN stops), it has Mtero yard @ Sultanpur metro(SLTP). This line also has highest no. of cars in single rake/metro (8 Cars) from Qutab Minar to Viswavidyala n frm huda city to jahangir puri 6 cars coach and no 4 cars. It totally has 3 different types of interior designs/models.
2) Blue Line:- I can say most happening metro cos its always n alwys jam packed from Dwaraka sector 21 to Vaishali / Noida city center passing through uttam nagar, kirti nagar, rajiv chowk,Indraprastha(Nearest metro to NZM –take auto Rs.20/30 or one can also get bus),Yamuna bank( the only junction in DMRC ) splitting part A to vaishali via ANVT and Part B to Noida city center via mayur vihar and botanical garden( ppl going to greater noida/amity university can get down here and catch bus/auto via express way).
This line has more no. of stops elevated , very few underground and one ground level(YB), It has yard @ YB(Yamuna bank/Dwaraka/Dwaraka sec-21). It has 70:30(6 cars:4cars) on an avg.
3) Voilet line:- It starts from Central secrtrt to Badarpur via Moolchand,Nehru place,Kalkaji (Lotus temple),Okhla, tugalkabad and u can see parallel action of IR almost 30% of its entire route.
It has only 4 cars in each rake/metro and has metro yard @ Mohan estate and has one type of design/,model.
4) Red Line:- Was the first DMRC metro , It starts from Dishad garden to Rithala via Sastri nagar/Park(Nearest metro to DEE), Kashmere gate, inderlok and rohini. It has oldest type of model/design. The interest part in this route is more than 4 stations are at ground level n runs paralled with IR track n RF will surely enjoy its ride in the morning or evening.

5) Green line:- Starts from Mundka to Kirti naga(Connecting blue line)r or Inderlok(Connecting redline). This coaches are also bit different from red line and other lines wch runs with only 4 cars, frequency is bit less compared to other lines.
6) Airport link:- Starts from NDLS to dwaraka sec -21 via Aero drum n IGI Airport and has different type of seating facility and model type.
Best metro for RF(IR):- Shahdara
Best metro for RF(metro):-Yamuna Bank
Best metro station(Infra):-Rajiv chowk
Best metro station award:-Anand vihar
Busiest Metro station:Rajiv chowk
Busiest Metro: Blue/Voilet/Yellow
My fav metro:-YB/Shahdara
Additional info:-
1) New line is getting constructed in delhi.
2) Rapid metro is also getting constructed in GGN.
Will upload More pics and videos of yards, airport metro, stations and metro museum.

These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake. These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
