Hello I am from Australia and need to get from Bangalore to Mysore. I can get there by train or bus, does anyone recommend the train trip over ctaching a bus (I am looking at Karnataka Road Bus)? What are the trains like travelling as a foreign tourist?

There is one more train "214 MYSORE PASS". You can travel by FC(first class). AC is not there but since you will be traveling in the month of January so not required. Cabins are there. It is a also a good option and you can enjoy the scenic view on the way from Bangalore to Mysore.

the best thing for you is not to book in any train. You can buy ticket once you are at Bangalore railway station.between Bangalore and Mysore you will find lot of seats specially in upper class. Very rarely people book ticket. Most of them buy ticket at station and travel. Also if you have lots of laguage and of you are flying to Bangalore then it is better to take a cab to Mysore than catching a train. It takes around 3.5 hrs from airport to Mysore on cab.

These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake. These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
