The Indian Railways has taken a significant step to ensure clean and safe drinking water for passengers at 10 major stations of the East Central Railway zone. will be provided with bottled water of the 'Rail Neer' brand. At other stations, 12 BIS-certified packaged drinking water brands will be available for sale. Additionally, 206 water vending machines have been installed at 66 stations to provide passengers with clean and safe drinking water. These initiatives aim to guarantee easy access to clean drinking water for passengers during their journeys, through bottled water, water taps, and water vending machines.
