So this train is running with 2 locos;one on each side?

or is a fresh loco attahced at other end instead of same loco reversing? (this happens usually on TPJ/ED)

It is running with two locos from TPJ - MQ. Loco will be attached at the rear once train arrives TPJ. That will be leading till NMJ and arrived at platform 3. (the loco from CBE will be still at the back from TPJ - NMJ) post which, pilots walk to the other end and take charge at the loco at the other end (the loco which was leading from CBE - TPJ and was back from TPJ - NMJ). Within that gap, MQ - TPJ DEMU will be arriving and departing NMJ at platform 1. After this, chemmozhi departs towards MQ. Some times, at pf 2, TJ - KIK DEMU arrives and departs meanwhile (this is not very common though, generally TJ - KIK DEMU and TPJ - MQ DEMU crosses at SMM).

I guess this is due to unavailability of stabling lines at MQ or NMj that they don't want to leave locos there!

More than that, i d say it is to minimise the reversal time at NMJ, which easily blocks the road for minimum 30 - 40 minutes.

They should have made bypass from NMJ to MQ actually while construction itself
