In addition, the Western Railway is partnering with the Rotary Club to install Automated External Defibrillator (AED) machines at 20 stations, including Churchgate, Marine Lines, Charni Road, Grant Road, Mahalaxmi, Lower Parel, Prabhadevi, Dadar, Bandra, Jogeshwari, Malad, Kandivali, Borivali, Mira Road, Bhayander, Vasai Road, Nalasopara, Virar, Boisar, and Vapi. These AEDs, designed for use by laypeople, are intended to provide emergency care in cases of sudden cardiac arrest.
