Dr. Tripathi had advocated for this shift during his term as MP, meeting with the railway minister Ashwini Vaishnaw to raise the issue. He had also previously secured the inclusion of Sadar Railway Station and Bhatni Junction in the Amrit Bharat Yojana. Dr. Tripathi stated that shifting the goods yard to Ahilyapur would allow for further expansion of the Sadar Railway Station and reduce congestion in Deoria town, particularly in the Kasya Dhala area.
