again in 2022 to Rs 34,985 crore. The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (BMRCL) has recently submitted a revised cost proposal for approval. The cost increase is primarily attributed to the project's substantial delay. The project was initially hampered by land acquisition delays, and then hit by the pandemic. The BMRCL has also undertaken road-widening work near stations, and acquired additional land for Reach-5. The revised proposal will require approval from the State Finance Department, followed by the Centre's Urban Development department.

Cost increase ka main reason project me aane wali der hai. Project pehle land acquisition mein delay se ruk gaya, aur phir pandemic aagaya. BMRCL ne stations ke paas road-widening ka kaam bhi kiya hai, aur Reach-5 ke liye extra land bhi liya hai. Revised proposal ko State Finance Department se approval lene ke baad, Centre ke Urban Development department se final approval lena padega.
