lack of funding also affects other proposed metro lines in Gautam Buddh Nagar district, including the line connecting Sector 142 to the Botanical Garden, which has already had its detailed project report (DPR) approved. While the metro projects fall under the Uttar Pradesh government, they require central funding, which has not been granted. This news comes as a blow to residents who have been advocating for better public transport infrastructure, especially with the lack of city buses in the area.
