A protest was held at Chhapra Junction station in Bihar, led by the All India Railway Men's Federation, demanding the restoration of the old pension scheme and the abolishment of the new pension scheme. The protest started with a march from the station's diesel lobby, went past the station master's office,...

circled the Chhapra Junction, and concluded at the carriage depot. Participants spoke at the gathering and threatened to disrupt railway operations. The NE Railway Workers Union's division president, Ashok Srivastava, expressed hope for the restoration of the old pension scheme in the upcoming Indian government budget. He explained that the new pension scheme, implemented for employees hired after 2004, is unpopular because it deprives them of the old pension scheme, which was considered a crucial support for their retirement. The organization's secretary, Sheshnath Singh, pointed out the hypocrisy of providing the old pension to MPs and MLAs while denying it to other government employees. He called it a betrayal of government employees. Several prominent figures from the All India Railway Men's Federation were present at the protest, including D.K. Singh, Shashi Bhushan Prasad, D.M. Singh, Amarnath Singh, Rakesh Kumar, Sheshnath Singh, Kunal, Vinay Sinha, Nagendra Prasad, Ritesh Vibhu, Amit Naman, Alok Kumar, Ravi Shankar Prasad, Mukesh Kumar Singh, station master, Dukhan Ram, Nitish Kumar, Ravinder Singh, Rajeev Kumar, M.K. Maharaj, Tarakeswar Maharaj, Ashok Kumar Rai, Kaushal Kumar, Sanjeev Kumar, Sujit Kumar, Jitendra Kumar Pratham, and Sanjeev Kishore.

Ye government employees ke saath bada dhoka hai. Dharna mein All India Railway Men's Federation ke bahut sare log maujud the, jaise D.K. Singh, Shashi Bhushan Prasad, D.M. Singh, Amarnath Singh, Rakesh Kumar, Sheshnath Singh, Kunal, Vinay Sinha, Nagendra Prasad, Ritesh Vibhu, Amit Naman, Alok Kumar, Ravi Shankar Prasad, Mukesh Kumar Singh (station master), Dukhan Ram, Nitish Kumar, Ravinder Singh, Rajeev Kumar, M.K. Maharaj, Tarakeswar Maharaj, Ashok Kumar Rai, Kaushal Kumar, Sanjeev Kumar, Sujit Kumar, Jitendra Kumar Pratham, aur Sanjeev Kishore.
