The revised DPR for the Charbagh-Vasant Kunj line was submitted by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) in 2022. The line will consist of 4.286 km elevated section and 6.879 km underground section. There will be 7 underground stations: Charbagh, Gautam Buddha Marg, Aminabad, Pandeyganj, City Station, KGMU Crossing, and Nawazganj. The 4 elevated stations are Thakurganj, Balaganj, Sarfarazganj, Musa Bagh, and Vasant Kunj. The estimated cost is Rs 5,880 crore, and the project is expected to take 5 years to complete. This line will benefit Old City residents and boost metro ridership, leading to increased revenue.
