on the existing 139 km track. Regarding the proposed Mysuru-Kushalnagar National Highway project, construction is expected to begin by the end of February. Rs. 1,100 crore out of the total Rs. 4,130 crore has been allocated for land acquisition, with 190 hectares already acquired and Rs. 177 crore compensation paid. However, some landowners are seeking higher compensation, leading to discussions on a fair compensation formula. The MP expressed dissatisfaction with the State Government's decision to allow Kerala to conduct a survey for the Nilambur-Nanjangud railway line, citing doubts about environmental clearance and the project's efficacy. He also criticized the Congress and Chief Minister Siddaramaiah for planning a protest in New Delhi against alleged step-motherly treatment by the Centre towards Karnataka, accusing the CM of misleading the public with baseless allegations.
