NWR is punching above its weight, anyway. Jaipur, Udaipur, and Jodhpur Sabarmati VBs have flopped, barely managing 50% occupancy. Ajmer Delhi Cantt VB has finally reached 90% occupancy levels. Proposed Jaipur Sabarmati or Jaipur Indore will also struggle with 50% occupancy, as Ahmedabad, Jamnagar, Indore, and Nagpur are also struggling to reach 50% occupancy. Only VBs with at least one metro city like Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Kolkata as the originating/terminating station are achieving 100% occupancy levels. Kerala ones are the exception, reaching a huge 200% occupancy. Both VBs on Delhi Varanasi and Delhi Katra routes are reaching 120% occupancy levels, followed by Chennai Tirunelveli, Secunderabad Vizag, Mumbai Ahmedabad with 115-120% levels. While Howrah Patna, Howrah Ranchi, Howrah Puri, Delhi Dehradun, and Chennai Mysore are also reaching 100% levels.

There's news that Indore and Nagpur are doing pretty well now, with occupancy levels reaching 80%. I don't understand how IR claims it's only 50%... Maybe the data is old or covers a longer period of time... Both ADI and VB should be extended to ST. ST is more commercial than ADI. ADI, BRC, and ST can fill any VB towards Saurashtra. Kerala VBs are a great example of an efficient railway system. People prefer them over flights due to cheaper fares and highways lacking fast connectivity. Road travel in Kerala is slow, and on top of that, its geography supports train travel. It's a long piece of land with four cities of over 2 million residents within 400 kilometers of each other. But train travel is still slow there. It could work wonders if the maximum speed is increased. Maybe we'll see more VBs on this route.
