The revised DPR proposes a funding pattern of 20% from the Centre and 80% from the Uttar Pradesh government. The proposed Metro link will be 5.017km long and will include five stations: Vaibhav Khand, near DPS Indirapuram; Shakti Khand, Vasundhara Sector 7, and Sahibabad. The project has faced funding challenges, with the state government initially denying funds and then declining a request for 50% funding. To address the funding shortfall, the GDA is considering external loans and additional land compensation. Residents are expressing their support for the project and are urging for expedited implementation.
