There was a railwwy minister who incidentally was from coastal Karnataka (Sadananda Gowda) in 2014 during the first NDA govt. He was not able to do anything. Then he was shunted to another ministry. When the Late Suresh Angadi ( also from Karnataka) was the minister of state there were lots of efforts and demands to him as well. Even he was unable to do anything. So wondering here if having another minister from Karnataka will really solve the issue of moving it to another zone ??
Even in November, when the current rail minister was in Bangalore, reporters asked him the same question. As per the response from rail minister looks like this will not happen...
more... ( attaching the screenshot of the article ). Completely understand the MAQ passengers point of view. They have reason to be disappointed. I am surprised at the GM response since just a month ago the DRM had assured of 3 trains being moved from MAJN to MAQ !!!
