I do understand your point of view. We all love to spot the locomotive that pulls our train atleast once during the whole journey, more the merrier. But the main point which you are not grasping is that those videos are meant for youtube, which has audience of all age and occupations. Most of the people watch rail travel vlogs for their entertainment value and for the journey experience which it provides. Focus is more on what travel experience the train provides. Technical details are focused on by a very niche audience and won't generate the mass viewership a youtuber wants for having a certain amount of income.
Railfanning and vloging are different things..
As being a RAILFAN He should know
About Loco links, Junction points, Crossing and overtaking trains etc .

Travelling in 1AC/2AC is valid because current crowed at 3AC/SL are not preferred place to record you blog ?
Also getting off/on to the stations not easy.

Completely agree.
As a railfan, whenever we board any train, it is should be one of the checklist items to show which loco is hauling that train at that time.
I feel it is like paying homage to it as this loco is the one that will take me to my destination whatever it may be like meeting my parents or anything else.
