the former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, is being upgraded and already has trains to Kamakhya and Jaipur. The new trains from Gomtinagar will offer direct connections to Puri, Mumbai, and Katra. The railway administration is also preparing for the launch of Vande Bharat Express trains from Lucknow to Patna and Dehradun. The Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to flag off the Vande Bharat Express trains, while the railway minister or the chairman of the Railway Board may flag off the new trains from Gomtinagar.

Ranchi also needs connectivity to Bhopal, Jaipur and Ahmedabad (Gandhi nagar).
No rail connectivity from Ranchi to these state capitals.
