After constructing Chandil - Namkum (alternate proposal was Kandra Namkum) short cut, via Tata will be much better than via Bokaro S C and then Ranchi (RNC) - TATA passengers will be available but presenlty even not via Puruliya (PRR) or via Suisa is long route between Chandil - Namkom then (after completion of that short cut) via Purulia will be a bad route for Ranchi passengers. VIa Aansol, Purulia is also not possible as Ranchi Shatabdi, Patna Howrah Vande Bharat will cut the share of Durgapur, Asansol passengers. via Tarakeswar - Bishnupur (Construction of most of the parts have been completed), Bankura, Puruliya may be a route but it may be with low Max P. Speed (it will be not good if it is too slow). Otherwise TATA route should be reserved for Ranchi Vande Bharat and not for Rourkela Vande Bharat which may be thinking of some...

Initially, after completion of Purulia - Gar Jaipur doubling, it is expected that speed will be increased via present route - may be 10 minutes will be saved but later, Chandil - Namkum short cut (Avoiding both Suisa, Purulia) may save an hour than present and 50 minutes than the expected time after completion of that doubling. Train may run two different routes 3-4 days via one route and 2-3 days via another after constructing that short cut - both via Purulia and not via Purulia.
For present route, Chandil halt may not be needed. At least one of two places among Jhargram, Ghatsila may be new halt(s) if number of passengers is not good but time is needed to know the number of passengers. Kothsila halt may be for operational purpose, otherwise it is not needed.
Fare is also lower for shorter route. Fare is an important matter
