PFA, I paid for my own EC ticket. People who like peace, more space, and not worrying about sitting in the middle will definitely choose EC. Not everyone values money more than comfort. You need to experience it yourself to understand. Even for the Pune-Mumbai route, Vistadome is in high demand. All three trains with Vistadome are always full. If you travel yourself, you'll see that only first-time travelers go to the gallery and turn their seats for views. Most people prefer the quiet and space of the coach and are busy with their tablets or laptops, rarely looking out for views. Even I chose Vistadome for my journey from Mumbai onwards in the Rajdhani, just for comfort. We all know how much traffic congestion there is in the Ghats of the Expressway and Mumbai City. Even now, for my visit to Pune on August 28th, I had to choose Vistadome because there's no Vande Bharat available in the morning from Mumbai to Pune. People in Pune have crazy amounts of money for comfort...
